Equine Evolution Tree

I have tried to indicate the line that MAY have led to Equus and the Pony Type 4 Arabian prototype.  The names in gray indicate no known connection to earlier or later fossils.  I left Hipparion and Stylohipparion in aqua to indicate they MAY have modern representatives (zebras had to come from somewhere).  As with all Paleoantrhopology, every new find adds to our knowledge and often changes how we view the tree. This is just one presentation, the one most commonly accepted as "most likely to be closest to the truth. . .  at this point in time."
