San Nazeeq

San Nazeeq was full brother to San Aakefaa so was also by Basheke out of Bint Kameesha. Nazeeq was born  March 20, 1987. He was my hope for doubling the Serenity Kamila blood by breeding him to San Baazinah and then San Emira Farazdac when she was old enough. But when he died, it was even a more grievous loss because he was such a remarkable individual.  Nazeeq was exceptionally beautiful, the perfect athletic, and had a most outstanding personality.

If I could have taken more than one stallion when Claire died, Nazeeq would have come to Blue Pyramid, but he was very fortunate to spend his last months on earth with T Morino at Wolftown. Although approaching 17 years of age and never having had a saddle on his back before, Nazeeq's incredible mind allowed him to reach a level of training where he was in final preparation for an exhibition show.  He was also ready to go into the training program at Wolf Town; a program wherein troubled youth are given the opportunity to work with horses as a means to find peace and purpose in their own lives.

His passing was felt very deeply by T and the workers and children at Wolf Town and they placed him to rest alongside the trail in the beautiful forests of Vashon Island near Seattle. There a monument was erected to commemorate a remarkable stallion and loving friend .  At rest, at peace, and back in the arms of his beloved Claire Estelle Phifer.
