Emir Ibn Farazdac, better known as "Himself," is the heart of Blue Pyramid Egyptians. He was discovered as a 2-year-old by Claire Estelle Phifer and was the head of her "Fab Four," a quartet that also included San Aakefaa, San Baazinah and her (and Himself's) daughter San Emira Farazdac. Himself possesses an intellect beyond any horse I have previously known and, having had a number of Arabians, that is saying a lot. Along with that bright mind, is a well developed sense of humor and my days are made good just by watching him play or graze or just be there. Himself knows when I am feeling good and when I visit him, he charges across the pasture and bounces to a stop just in front of me. Or if I'm feeling depressed, he walks calmly by my side and when my old bones are aching he takes extra care not to jostle or rush me. But Himself is as protective as a watch dog when strangers come into the pasture to admire him. His naturally gentle nature precludes any threatening behavior, but he calmly puts himself between me and anyone he doesn't know. When workmen were setting the foundation for his shelter, he grazed at the other end of his paddock and ignored them -- until I came into the paddock -- then he galloped toward us and quietly, without threat or aggression, put himself between me and the workers. When the foreman tried to move around him, Himself moved too, keeping his body between us so that we had to talk over him, like talking to a neighbor over the backyard fence. When I left the paddock, Himself went back to his grazing. Oh yes, I forgot . . . Himself is pretty to look at, but his true physical beauty is in his proud trot and powerful canter, but it is his personality, his soul that is exceptional and captures your heart and imagination. After all the time he has been here, he still takes my breath away and my favorite chair looks out on his pasture.
Emir Ibn Farazdac (*Farazdac x MFA Sabria) 01/31/88. Himself is everything you hear about Egyptian stallions and the Arab "tent horse;" a fine old gentleman who fortunately passes on his gentle nature and many other qualities. I have seen several of his babies, all out of different mares, and regardless of the dam, he is evident in all of his children (see the page Himself's Children). Stud Fee: Himself will be standing this breeding season, still at the following fees:
Shipped semen is available. Live foal guarantee as long as Himself is breeding. Mare owner pays collection and shipping. Multiple-mare discount available.
JF Amir Ibn Kameerah Amir bred his first mare this spring (2011) so has earned his place on the Stallions page. His first contribution to the Nafa'a Preservation program will be a foal out of San Baazinah that will triple the Serenity Kamila blood. Amir is the son of Last Chance Too, out of JF Kameerah, both of whom trace to Nafa'a through Le Kameesha Amira.
Amir's destiny is to breed Nafa'a mares, but I will probably open his book once he has been proven as an athlete and sire because his "sport-horse" build makes him a good cross for someone wanting a foal with great athletic potential. Click this link to see Amir's picture pedigree.
